Preparing for our first game was extremely nerve racking. We were unsure how many people would come to the games and how well everything would flow the night of the game. After lots of communication with Woodland Terrace and our school’s athletic office, we were able to come up with somewhere specific for the fans to sit and had out together items that they would receive the night of the game.
The week of our very first game, I was hospitalized and was unfortunately unable to come and help the rest of my group. I still wanted to be apart of the game so I contacted my team members and asked them to send me pictures and give me updates of how the game was going. After awhile, I finally got a message from one of my team mates saying that only one person from Woodland Terrace came to watch the game. I was a little disappointed because we had been anticipating 15-30 people. We have two more games left and I am hoping that we have a little bit of a better turnout. There is not much more my group can do, so all we can really do is wait for the games and rely on Woodland Terrace to get the word out to their members.
